Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 July 2026

1. Overview

This policy explains how KitchyIt (“we”, “us”), based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India, collects and uses personal data when you use kitchyit.com and the KitchyIt dashboard. It is written to comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its Rules.

2. What we collect

Account data — your name, email address, phone number, business name, and password (stored hashed).

Business data — your menu, product photos, pricing, storefront settings, and, where you enable online payments, KYC and payment configuration details required by our payment provider.

Your customers' data — when customers order from your storefront, we process their name, phone number, delivery address, and order details on your behalf, so you can fulfil the order.

Usage data — pages visited and basic device information, collected via analytics cookies (see section 6).

3. How we use it

We use personal data to provide and improve the service: operating your storefront and dashboard, processing subscription billing, sending service emails (order alerts, trial reminders, receipts), providing support, and keeping the platform secure. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your customers' data for our own marketing.

4. Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to run KitchyIt: Supabase (database and authentication), Amazon Web Services (hosting), Razorpay (subscription payments and, where you enable it, your storefront checkout), Resend (transactional email), Meta WhatsApp Business API (order notifications, where enabled), and Google Analytics (aggregate site usage). Each processes data only as needed to provide their service. Some providers may store data outside India; we transfer data only as permitted by applicable law.

5. Retention

We keep account and business data while your account is active. If you cancel, we retain your data for 90 days so you can reactivate, then delete or anonymise it, except where the law requires longer retention (for example, billing records). You can request earlier deletion at any time.

6. Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies for login sessions, and Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage (visits, pages, referral source). Analytics data is not used to identify individuals. You can block cookies in your browser; the site will still work.

7. Your rights

You can access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, withdraw consent, or raise a grievance by emailing privacy@kitchyit.com. We respond within 30 days. If unresolved, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Security and breaches

Data is encrypted in transit, access is role-restricted, and payment credentials are stored encrypted. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board without undue delay, as required by law.

9. Children

KitchyIt accounts are for users aged 18 and above.

10. Changes and contact

We will notify you of material changes to this policy by email or in your dashboard. Grievance contact: privacy@kitchyit.com · KitchyIt, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India.
